Tom Abel is a Minnesota Pottery Artist who creates Stoneware Pottery, stoneware teapots, unique vases, cups, bowls, incense burners, spoon rests, plates and serving platters. All of Tom's ceramic art is high fired to cone 10. Tom uses glaze in an intuitive, unique, earthy way to try and keep his pottery as natural looking as possible while making sure it is functional as well. Tom Abel's unique stoneware pottery can be found at several Art Galleries and pottery studios in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul Minnesota including The Grand Hand (St Paul, MN), The Artist Mercantile (St Paul, MN), Fire on the Greenway (Minneapolis, MN), and The Kulak Art Company (Woodbury, MN). Tom primarily works out of the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis but also has worked at Fired Up studios and from of his home in Woodbury.
