Tom Abel is a ceramic artist who loves cracked clay and unique pottery. There are many times Tom sets out with a plan to make a particular clay pot, but when he is through he has something that is completely different. Tom likes to experiment with shapes and textures in his clay pots. Tom likes cracked clay, textures and earthy forms in his unique clay pots. Tom prefers to keep the texture and/or the shape of the pot as the main focus while adding bright colors and glossy glazes to the inside of the pot as a surprise to the viewer. The ceramic artist Tom Abel makes are hi-fire (cone 10) stoneware, his ceramics for the most part are are waterproof and food safe...
